Childbirth is one of the miracles of life.

Sometimes, however, negligent care provided by doctors and nurses can cause profound and permanent injury to both the infant and mother. Through the advancement of modern medicine, machines have been developed which constantly monitor and evaluate the baby’s condition before birth. However, when health care providers fail to properly review that monitor’s information, it could go unnoticed that the oxygen supply is being compromised during the birth process, and the baby can suffer severe harm. Timely intervention by the health care team can prevent many such situations, provided they are properly monitoring the baby’s condition.
